 | Oil on canvas: Winter time by Henri de Favanne. Henri de Favanne was born on October 3rd 1668, of French parents living in London. His father Antoine was Master of Royal Hunt of King Charles II. He arrived in Paris in 1687, became student of René Antoine Houasse. Later he moved to Rome where he became a friend of Monsieur dAubigny, secretary of princess des Ursins. In 1704, he is admitted to the Academy,Ê thenÊ from 1706 to 1713, we find him in Spain where he works for the Princess des Ursins circle. Finally, he moves back to France where he starts the decoration of Château de Chanteloup. He becomes a teacher of the Academy in 1725 then Vice Director in 1748. He attends exhibitions from 1737 to 1752. He passed away in Paris on April 27th 1752.
