| Bonheur du jour with exceptional marquetry design and remarkablechased gilt bronze mounts. Veneered with maple,tinted maple and boxwood filets, it consists of a rectangular writing table topped by a recessed chest. The upper part reveals a wicket with a central drawer and locking door on each side, disclosing a mahogany drawer veneered with rose wood and box wood . The table stands on four tapered legs of square section, joined by a streching shelf. A large central drawer encloses a writing slide lined with pink silk, and a removable case with inkwell.
